Like the past 16 Regional Seminars, this one aims at addressing common issues of African countries related to unemployment by promoting inclusive and broad based growth through labour based projects with a special main theme “Delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The Employment Intensive Approach”.

It is also among the other communalities of the previous seminars that practitioners, policy makers, researchers, academic and development partners are expected to participate in this 17th Regional Seminar where they exchange views and ideas, share experiences so as to contribute to the best achievement of the objective of the seminar.

On the Regional Seminar, the keynotes by distinguished speakers, the paper presentations to be made by academicians and researchers, the discussions, site visits and exhibitions of products and services will definitely have paramount importance for our collective as well as individual endeavors aimed at ensuring Sustainable Development Goals in general, and fighting against unemployment in particular.
