"Delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The Employment–intensive Investment Approach"

The theme seeks to encourage sharing of knowledge and experience on the innovative application of integrated labour-based approach that contributes towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal outcomes. In order to facilitate focused knowledge sharing and deliberation on the theme the following sub-themes have been selected:

  2. Technology options and innovations for pro-employment and sustainable infrastructure delivery
  3. Job creation and resilience through infrastructure development in fragile situations
  4. Enhancing local capacity building initiatives through South-South collaboration

Sessions Sessions

The five-day seminar will consist of plenary paper presentations and discussions. One full day, wednesday, will be dedicated to field visits to labour-based works sites in and around Addis Ababa. Exhibitions and video shows will be on show during the course of the week.

A welcome cocktail, on the 13th November, and Seminar dinner, on the 15th November, will be held to enable networking between the participants. There will also be time for site seeing and shopping on the last day following the closing ceremony!
